The University Student Council-Makati, in partnership with Student Affairs Office, Marketing and Communications Section, and the Academic Departments held the Job Hunting Seminar last October 14, 2017 with the theme “ CAREER ORIENTATION 2017: The CEEGA Professionals Preparing an Edge in the Global Job Market.”

The activity was participated by graduating students who were welcomed by Dr. Olivia M. Limuaco Vice President and Dean of Studies of CEU Makati while Dr. Carlito B. Olaer, Vice President for Student Affairs gave an inspirational message. He reminded the Escolarians to highlight their values in their job search, advised them to be awesome and always believe in themselves. The guest speaker,  Ms. Zarah Lyn Dela Cruz, HROD Specialist of UNILAB discussed the updates and trends in the global job market where the students  gained new knowledge from the speaker as it was very informative. The common job hunting tips were then discussed by Ms. Sheila Ceniza, the Coordinator of the Marketing and Communications Section.

During the afternoon session, the students were clustered according to their departments to listen to the insights of the invited guest speakers and alumni from their own department. The invited guest speakers were Ms. Julie Anne Mendoza for HRM, Mr. Dean Arvee Quiray for Business Administration, Mr. Miguel Isberto for CS/IT, Dr. Don Johnson Vito Cruz for Dentistry, Ms. Andrea Bautista for Tourism Management, Mr. Jon Marivic Abano for Medical Technology, Mr. Kenneth Ramos for Nursing, Mr. Mark Anthony Ellana for Pharmacy and Mr. Debbye Mateo for Psychology. The CEU Makati alumni  invited were Mr. Emmanuel Batanes for CS/IT, Ms. Gilda Eriga for Business Administration, Ms. Sharmaine Bijasa for HRM, Ms. Deanne Alipio for Tourism, Ms. Chesca Cabalu for Medical Technology and Ms. Chriscceline Bustamante for Nursing. They shared their knowledge and experiences on how to  prepare for their future careers.

After the enriching talks, recognition for the top scorers of the Pre-Employment Examination were given. The activity made the participants demonstrate awareness on what lies ahead of them after graduation.
