CEU Law Students Offers Free Legal Consultation and Seminar in Pasig
Senior law students of Centro Escolar University School of Law and Jurisprudence-Office of the Legal Aid (OLA) recently provided free legal consultation and seminar to citizens and barangay officials of Barangay Kalawaan, Pasig City.
Fritz Madamba, Jolly Ann Madrideo, Haydee Co, Shelomith Paddayuman, and Mark Ivan Picardal discussed the Republic Act 9262 or Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004. The next topic focused on Republic Act 3019 or the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act which was further explained by Christian Sorongon, Eduard Riparip, Henry Valencia, Paulo Bisnar, and Mary Monnette Zabarte.
The other interns also attended to legal queries from the participants who were barangay officials, barangay volunteers, and members of barangay special bodies.
This activity was part of the Law students’ subject on Clinical Legal Education, under the supervision of Atty. Antonio Ceasar Manila, Director of the CEU Office of the Legal Aid.
