Accountancy and Management Department

The Accountancy and Management Department recognizes the interrelationship of various fields in Accountancy and Business and the value of exercising integrity in pursuit of excellence and success. The Department produces highly-skilled, creative thinking individuals who are passionate about the accountancy profession and business and development and equipped with the knowledge, determination, and experience to lead the Philippines and the world.

 

The rigorous academic preparation and exposure to partner-companies and professional organizations instill values and indispensable lessons in its students. They interact with local and international firms, exposed as they are to various types of businesses and industries, such as manufacturing, service, merchandising, finance, and the like. The program calls for students to work closely with seasoned practitioners from whom they learn valuable methods, disciplines, and details through intensive and constantly-updated training in their respective fields. They develop expertise enhanced by local practice and global awareness.

The graduates of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy should be able to:

Laboratories and Facilities

The Office Simulation Room is located on the 14th floor of the Legazpi Village campus. This is an important laboratory facility for Business Administration students to enhance their curricular programs and attain course objectives. It is equipped with computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, check writer, adding machine, and business forms.

Department Scholarships

Various scholarship programs are available to qualified students, be they entering freshmen or continuing students. Freshmen may avail of a scholarship, which is renewable upon fulfillment of certain requirements. In addition, continuing students may apply for scholarships funded by the University itself, alumni and friends of the University, and some corporations with interests in the University.

 

The University also provides financial grants to students who participate in extracurricular activities such as extramural, membership in the choir, leadership in student councils, or other similar groups.

 

Only one scholarship or financial grant shall be enjoyed by any student. In case a student is qualified for more than one university scholarship or grant, he/she may avail himself/herself of the higher or more generous grant.
