Hospitality Management Department

Through the years, the Hotel and Restaurant Management and Tourism Management programs have produced graduates who excel in their practice in the Philippines and around the world. The thorough hands-on training provided by the instructors equips the students with the skills and knowledge they need in order to build a reputable professional practice. The interactive classroom discussions are supplemented with stimulating activities such as culinary contests, seminars, exposure tours, and practicum in well-known accredited institutions, both local and international.

Laboratories and Facilities

TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT

  • CEU Travel Bureau
    The CEU Travel Bureau is located at the ground floor of the ISC Building which serves all training needs and programs including field trips and educational tours of the Tourism Management students.  It is equipped with Global Distribution System to give the BSITTM students the opportunity to learn first-hand operation of a travel agency.  The Bureau also provides travel needs and services for the CEU community.

 

  • Computer Laboratory (1. for Research purposes, 2. Airline reservation system, 3. preparation of various documentation)
    The quality of teaching and learning can be improved by introducing a more effective use of software in the computer laboratories. The computer laboratory, where students use the Amadeus Reservations System, is equipped with fast internet connection and the latest units. The students can practice booking airline tickets and check the status of flights using the system.

 

HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT

  • CEU Beverage Bar Counter
    The students’ experiential learning in preparing and serving of beverages are enhanced in the CEU beverage and bar simulation facility. Aside from the skills and techniques in mixing beverages, students are trained to cultivate proper attitudes needed for the delivery of quality service in food and bar operations.

 

  • CEU Food Laboratory (Hot Kitchen, Cold Kitchen, Baking Room)
    The air-conditioned  Food Laboratories are equipped with modern equipment and a complete set of kitchen utensils to enable hospitality and  culinary students to learn and experience basic and advance culinary skills and techniques. The kitchen facilities for both hot and cold preparation as well as baking activities.

    A venue by the students for the presentation and demonstration of their food products.

 

  • CEU Fine Dining Bar
    This provides a venue for the hands-on experience on the actual restaurant operations and management and food service procedures.

  • CEU Mock Up Hotel

 

  • CEU Front Desk Counter
    The CEU Front Desk Counter is a mock desk that serves as an interactive training hub for students to develop their service quality and soft skills in hotel reservation, guest registration, check-out process, and the practices of night audit. The students mastering behind the mock desk are trained in manual and computerized guest cycle procedures.

 

  • CEU Guest Rooms
    These are guest rooms simulation facility equipped with hotel-standard amenities and lay-out.  Students are trained the technical details required for rooms cleaning and maintenance at par with the lodging industry requirements.

 

  • CEU Function Room
    Air-conditioned spacious halls that cater to several types of students’ culminating events related to their professional courses like MICE, Hospitality Research, Food and Beverage Service and Management essential to ready them for the multi-faceted hospitality service industry.

Department Scholarships

Hospitality Management Alumni Scholarship

The Hospitality Management Alumni Chapter offers scholarships to bonafide BSITTM and BSIHM students. The scholarship consists of a 50% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees for the semester and is renewable the following semester provided the requirements are met.
