Hospitality Management Department

Through the years, the Hospitality Management programs have produced graduates who excel in their practice in the Philippines and around the world. The thorough hands-on training provided by the instructors equips the students with the skills and knowledge they need in order to build a reputable professional practice. The interactive classroom discussions are supplemented with stimulating activities such as culinary contests, seminars, exposure tours, and practicum in well-known accredited institutions, both local and international.

Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management with Specialization in Hotel, Restaurant and Culinary Operations (BSIHM HRCO)

 

Program Description

This program is a ladderized curriculum that provides students with skills and competencies that are needed to perform operational tasks and management functions in food production (culinary); hotel, food and beverage service; events planning; and other emerging sectors of the hospitality industry. Students will receive a Certificate in Hotel and Food Beverage Service upon one year of program completion; a Diploma in Hotel and Food and Beverage Operations in the second year; an Associate in Hotel and Restaurant Management in the third year; and a Degree in Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management with specialization in Hotel, Restaurant and Culinary Operations upon completion of the four-year program.

Its graduates can choose from a variety of enriching employment opportunities where they can practice their chosen profession.

The program is granted Level II Accredited Status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) as certified by the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).

Bachelor of Science in International Hospitality Management with Specialization in Cruise and Integrated Resort Operations (BSIHM CIRO)

 

Program Description

This program is a ladderized curriculum that provides students with an academic foundation in the field of Cruise and Integrated Resort Operations. It equips students with skills and competencies that are essential to execute operational tasks and management functions in integrated resorts, cruise ships, casinos and other segments of the hospitality industry. BSIHM HRCO and BSIHM CIRO PROGRAM OUTCOMES

  1. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication in English;
  2. Work independently and effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in accordance with the international standards aligned with the international standards aligned with the ASEAN Qualification Framework;
  3. Practice the knowledge and apply the skills associated with problem solving, critical thinking and decision making to function effectively in the industry;

  11. Evaluate and implement safety, security and risk management programs in hotels, cruise and integrated resorts through systematic problems solving in compliance with the industry and government regulations and standards.

CEU Beverage Bar Counter

The students’ experiential learning in preparing and serving of beverages are enhanced in the CEU beverage and bar simulation facility. Aside from the skills and techniques in mixing beverages, students are trained to cultivate proper attitudes needed for the delivery of quality service in food and bar operations.

The CEU Front Desk Counter is a mock desk that serves as an interactive training hub for students to develop their service quality and soft skills in hotel reservation, guest registration, check-out process, and the practices of night audit. The students mastering behind the mock desk are trained in manual and computerized guest cycle procedures.

  • CEU Guest Rooms

These are guest rooms simulation facility equipped with hotel-standard amenities and lay-out. Students are trained the technical details required for rooms cleaning and maintenance at par with the lodging industry requirements.

 

CEU Function Room

Air-conditioned spacious halls that cater to several types of students’ culminating events related to their professional courses like MICE, Hospitality Research, Food and Beverage Service and Management essential to ready them for the multi-faceted hospitality service industry.

Department Scholarships

Hospitality Management Alumni Scholarship

The Hospitality Management Alumni Chapter offers scholarships to bonafide BSIHM students. The scholarship consists of a 50% discount on tuition and miscellaneous fees for the semester and is renewable the following semester provided the requirements are met.
