Centro Escolar University Crowns Mr. and Ms. CEU 2017
A night filled with glitz and glam gathered the CEU community to witness the prestigious Search for the Mr. and Ms. CEU 2017. Renz Paul Del Rosario from CEU-Makati and Patrisha Nicole Genato from the School of Optometry were hailed as this year’s Mr. and Ms. CEU on its Grand Coronation Night held last February 3, 2017 at the Student Activity Center in CEU Manila.
The new titleholders outshined the other candidates with their beauty, grace, and confidence.
Also topping the beauty pageant are Mark Andrew Sumang from the School of Pharmacy and Princess Jeal Tanjueco from CEU-Malolos, who were named First Runners-up. Aseel Bahashwan from CEU-Makati and Sasha Casey Uy from the School of Nutrition and Hospitality Management were the Second Runners-up.
Special and minor awards were also given to John Manalang from the School of Dentistry and Angelica Mariel Banagan from the School of Education-Liberal Arts-Music-Social Work (SELAMS) as the Mr. and Ms. Security Bank 2017, Mr. and Ms. Fortitude 2017, and Mr. and Ms. Integrity 2017. Mr. and Ms. Friendship 2017 went to Kristian Deon Hernandez from the School of Optometry and Angelica Mariel Banagan.
Joining the list of awardees are Sharielle Yanson from the School of Nursing who was named Ms. Photogenic and Mr. CEU Renz Del Rosario received its counterpart award, the Mr. Photogenic 2017. Best in Formal Wear are Princess Jeal Tanjueco from CEU Malolos and Aeron Paul Brillo from the School of Accountancy and Management. Andrew Sumang from the School of Pharmacy and Princess Jeal Tanjueco got the Best in Swimwear Awards. Representatives from the School of Pharmacy, Andrew Sumang and Rubyann Mae Barreda were declared the Mr. and Ms. People’s Choice Award after having garnered the highest online votes on its official Facebook page. Marvin Aoyang from the School of Nutrition and Hospitality Management was named Best in Talent.
The board of judges was composed of Star Magic Artist and Fashion Model, Ms. Sophia Andres, Man of the Year 2016, Mr. Karan Singhdole, Fashion Designer and Fashion Consultant of Aces and Queens, Mark Besana, Miss Earth Philippines 2016, Ms. Loren Mar Artajos and Arnold Mercado also from Aces and Queens. The Voice Philippines Season 2 finalist, Timmy Pavino, and singer-songwriter Emmanuelle Vera, also graced the event and serenaded the candidates during their formal wear presentation.
Former Mr. and Ms. CEU 2016, Juan Miguel Medina and Venice Kayla Barrameda did their farewell walk before passing the most coveted crown to the new King and Queens of the University.
