WISHCOVERY Season 2 Grand Winner is from CEU Makati

Out of the thousands hopefuls from different parts of the country and the world, Rhea Basco, a dentistry student from CEU Makati emerged as the grand winner of WishFM’s Wishcovery Season 2: the Singer and the Song.

From being an online sensation because to her impromptu performances that virally circulated the social media, her talent was finally given recognition when she was hailed by a web and radio-based FM station’s talent contest last March 23, 2019 at the Araneta Coliseum. Wish FM’s Wishcovery Season 2 aims to showcase the singing talent of students from different colleges and universities in the country. An audition was staged by CEU Makati Dramatic Guild last September 17, 2018. The successful auditionees were endorsed to the Metro Manila screening last September 20, 2018 at Robinson’s Manila. The screening committees trimmed down the Metro Manila auditionees to top 10, and were trained under renowned composer Jungee Marcelo. Alongside with Rhea Basco from CEU Makati under Camp Jungee was Marc Adel who was later booted out in the semi-finals round.

After few months of training, mentoring, and live media exposures, Rhea Basco competed with other contestants from other camps led by OPM singers and composers. Her rendition of Jungee Marcelo’s hits and original composition “Hingang Malalim” nailed her to become the grand winner of WishFM’s Wishcovery Season 2. Aside from receiving cash, house and lot, brand new car, and contracts, Rhea Basco was also able to donate to her two charity organizations of her choice.
